Aim of Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope’s aim is to support those who care for young people affected
by mental illness. Kaleidoscope understands that it is important to support
Carers of young people with mental illness, and the help you give, not only to the person
they care for, but also to the community. Kaleidoscope works to provide support through a
program that can help you figure out the best options for supporting both you and the person you care for.
What we offer
Group Programs, Sibling Support, Support Groups and information on other services available.
Carer Support Groups Outcomes
- To share with others who are in a similar situation.
- To learn about rights and how to seek access to the most appropriate support services.
- To support group members to talk openly and freely in an understanding environment.
- To gain a better understanding of a young person’s behaviour.
- To improve understanding of mental health in young people

Anyone who cares for or is a family member of a young person (16-24yo) with a mental illness

About the Facilitator
Paul has been working in the youth and mental health sector for the past ten years and feels strongly about supporting those who
care for someone with a mental illness.
