Family Violence Program
The family violence program offers a range of services which include:
- Court support for intervention orders or family court matters
- Information about the different types of abuse
- Advocacy
- Short-term supportive counselling
- Education on Family Violence issues
Family violence is about power and control. This does not always mean that you may be hit. It may be financial, sexual, intimidation, verbal or physical.
Who can access the program?
Any one who is experiencing family violence in some way and wanting support, education or assistance.
Where is it operated from?
The program operates out of our agency premises at 399 Wyndham Street, Shepparton. Appointments are also available in the Moira and Strathbogie Shires.
How do I make an appointment?
Contact Primary Care Connect on 5823 3200 during business hours. Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to speak to the Intake Worker who will assess your situation and refer you to the appropriate program.
Is there a cost?
Family violence Program is a free service.
