Gamblers' Help Program

Gambler’s Help is a service helping people regain control over their gambling or supporting those affected by problem gambling. Financial Counselling available.

After hours appointments also available on Wednesday nights.

The Gamblers Help program also offers the Building Blocks of Life Program. Building Blocks of Life is a group self development program which involves six weekly two hour sessions. Building Blocks of Life aims to promote personal and social development through the provision of education and development of life skills in a small group environment.

Gambler’s Help provide Community Education sessions aimed at raising awareness of problem gambling issues, responsible gambling practices and support services.

Who can access the program?
Gambler’s Help can be accessed by people whose gambling is becoming an issue or those affected by someone else’s gambling.

Community Education Sessions are available to anyone in the community who wishes to find out more about gambling. This includes schools, community groups, client groups and the general public.

Where is it operated from?
The program operates out of our agency premises at 399 Wyndham Street, Shepparton. Appointments are also available in the Moira and Strathbogie Shires.

How do I make an appointment?
Contact Goulburn Valley Community Health Service on 5823 3200 during business hours. Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to speak to the Intake Worker who will assess your situation and refer you to the appropriate program.

Is there a cost?
There is no cost for individual sessions.
