Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)
This program is available to injecting drug users. It is provided in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. Sterile injecting equipment, condoms and information on blood borne viruses are provided through this program.
Providing injecting drug users with access to sterile injecting equipment has been proven to reduce the incidence of blood borne viruses. This program is based on the principle of harm minimisation. Anyone accessing the NSP is also able to access counselling and support to deal with issues related to their injecting drug use.
